Refund policy

RETURN POLICY:

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. During the first 15 days of the window, returns are eligible for a full refund. Requests for returns made during days 16 through 30 will only be eligible for a store credit. Returns we receive that have been damaged due to inadequate packaging on the customer's end will be limited to a store credit.

PLEASE NOTE that discounts or loyalty rewards applied to the original purchase transaction will impact the return value items. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with applicable tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, complete the information requested through our Return Portal. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

For a regular return (i.e., non-defective items), the customer is responsible for shipping charges. Bayou Kids LLC will pay for the return shipping on items that are defective, damaged, or the wrong item was received. Please inspect your order upon reception and process the request immediately so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as candy), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), fidgets, and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on clearance/last chance/overstock items or gift cards.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

RETURN PROCESS:

All returns MUST include a valid RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number issued by Bayou Kids LLC through our Return Portal.  Order number and email are required. 

If you are a gift recipient and need to make a return and do not have a gift receipt, contact our store for information related to your order. We must be able to locate a receipt from the Purchaser/Gift Giver in order to process any return. If we are able to locate the original purchase receipt, then we will process the return in the form of Bayou Kids LLC store credit for any future purchases on our site, once the item is received, reviewed and approved.

Conditions

  • Final sale/Last Chance items are not eligible for return. Final sale status can be found on the website product listings, in checkout and in your order confirmation.
  • Returned items must be shipped back (eg, picked up or processed by UPS/other mail carrier) within 30 days of receipt.
  • Returned items must be in their original conditions - unworn and undamaged, with the security tag still attached, and ideally in original packaging if applicable.
  • Original shipping costs will not be returned unless the item is defective.

In-Store Purchase Returns

To make a return, you'll need the receipt from your purchase. All returns must be made within 30 days of purchase and all items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition. 


Web Order Returns

To return an order made through our website, you can either return those items to one of our stores or ship your order back to our central office.

To return a web order at a store, you'll need the packing slip from the order. All returns must be made within 30 days of receipt and all items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition. Your refund can either be issued as a store credit gift card or a refund.

Sorry, we do not pay for shipping on returns unless the item is defective. The return package must be shipped back to us within 30 days of receipt.
